Russell has been an optometrist in Rockhampton for 30 years, with a special interest in Low Vision. Serving on the Optometric Association of Australia (OAA) (Qld Division) Council for over 10 years, Russell was also a member of The QLD Optometrist Board for seven years. Achievements include a Graduate Certificate from Queensland University of Technology in Ocular Therapeutics, and applied to do a Masters in Optometry by research. Russell is also a Justice of the Peace (JP, qualified) and is looking forward to supporting and providing a high standard of service and sharing his low vision solutions with the Rockhampton, Bundaberg and regional communities.

Annette and Tony coordinate the Guide Dogs Queensland, Low Vision Support Group of Townsville. The support group is made up of 45 members, and meetings are held monthly at the Oonoonba Community Centre. Since Tony became vision impaired, he and his wife have been active volunteers of Guide Dogs Queensland, and have assisted with various activities throughout the year. Tony also runs computer training courses for seniors and assists individuals with low vision in using computers and screen magnification programs (ZoomText). Annette has been working in the aged care and disability sector in the community for over eight years. This caring and professional couple is keen to assist the low vision community in the Townsville and regional areas with their understanding, and experience of living successfully with low vision.
